For those who can’t keep away from the beach (even if it’s raining!), Virgin Gorda is ideal, with some of the most gorgeous expanses of beach in all of the Caribbean. The beach at Leverick Bay is an excellent oasis and includes their Jumbies Beach Bar, a perfect way to hang out, have some food & drinks while making new friends. Savannah Bay is a deserted white-sand beach, an idyllic setting for picnics and even better for sun worshippers. Mahoe Beach has amazing reefs, perfect for snorkelers, or even just to bring a good book and wait to watch the sunset, an astounding daily spectacle in Virgin Gorda.
There are many wonderful beaches throughout the island just waiting for you!
There are a number of first-rate Spas available if your idea of leisure is a day full of pampering. The Spa at Leverick Bay has a sauna and whirlpool, massage services, beauty treatments of all kinds, waxing and electrolysis, among other offerings. In addition, Solitude Day Spa at Virgin Gorda Village offers a complete menu of luxurious spa services (including Yoga, massage rituals and hands & feet therapy) for your total indulgence.
Although Virgin Gorda and the Caribbean in general are world-famous for our year-round agreeable temperature and pleasant weather, it’s always a good idea to plan a trip while keeping an eye on the forecast. Some months tend to bring much rain and strong winds while others may be sunny but the sea may behave in unexpected manners (a factor for divers and boaters). Feel free to call us and ask about the best time to vacation or visit weather.com; TripAdvisor is another great Internet resource to find out what other vacationers believe are the perfect times to stay here. Although Virgin Gorda has no "bad seasons" per se, weather that is not to your liking can influence whether or not you enjoyed your visit and it’s very important to us that you have the best possible time and get the most out of every minute of your stay!
